I am so confused. Is Michael Jackson still alive? For some reason I thought I had heard that he had died. I guess if he had died he wouldn’t be able to release an book huh (I guess I answered my own question there). Plus the news would have made a big deal out if it if he had died. . .
Anyway, on to the review. This was a good book. I like how Micheal Jackson writes almost as much as how he dances and sings. I don’t always like his clothes or his makeup though. I have to admit that I am sometimes afraid of the way that he looks. I like how the book doesn’t have any pictures except the one in the middle of him holding an elephant carved out of wood. I like it because you can only see his hands and not his face. I like “we are the world” the best for his songs. The best chapter in the book is the last chapter in my opinion, but I would love to hear what the rest of you think. I just really appreciated him admitting that he didn’t write most of the songs, and that the ones he did write were just random words that he looked up in a dictionary (which we all pretty much knew already, but its nice to hear him finally say it. ) I learned allot about him in general too, like the fact that he has a tattoo of Hulk Hogan on his back. Who knew!!! Well, I assume some of his die-hard fans already knew, but I am admittedly just a recent fan of his (within the last couple of weeks in fact).
I hope he continues to write more books like this.

The poem alone has cause a 3rd purchase (No rips). Something is wrong or off here, Michael was going to base his comeback, perhasp final bow and repair his fortunes on a production that would showcase a song that was co-written by a well known song writer and not contact him about using it or give him proper credit? He was just going perform would have been 50 sold out and highly publicized concerts and hoped the co-writer wouldn’t find out about the music??? MJ of course believed that he wouldn’t immediately be sued over this mega hit, wouldn’t ruin the long waited/requested concerts or that the media wouldn’t go for blood??? (Yeah-Right!!!) Put away the emotion be it like or dislike for MJ and think this through using the information we have been given. This is truly not an attack on Paul Anka or Sony, but something is off, something is missing from this story and I only have the word of those who are still here to tell it.

It sadly has nearly been four months since the tragic and heartbreaking death of Michael Jackson. While his death was a extremely devistating blow to his family and his legion of fans, his music has shown that as much as what he left as a legacy will always be immortal as the myth he was to being the King Of Pop. Now, with the hype around what was suppose to be the success of his final tour in London simply called, This Is It, arising in the wings with the upcoming concert documentary, and a new reintroduction into his musical odessy into his work on his solo career, and his works with his brothers from the Jackson 5 and The Jacksons to a generation of fans whom had been more interested in the wannabe acts like Rihanna and Jordin Sparks, as well as today’s pop giants like Beyonce’ and Britney Spears. Well, the week of the film has came around into the light, and the soundtrack is a walkthrough is now here, as a walkthrough to his musical solo works, that says this was Michael.
This Is It, the new music soundtrack surrounding the documentary around what was suppose to be Michael Jackson’s comeback into the spotlight and around his final shows in London is finally released. The colection of songs is mainly focused on his strongest songs during his successful solo status during the 80’s and early 90’s, with his works like Thriller and Bad and on his early 90’s work Dangerous, and includes a lot of his classic gems from the ear he broke through with the 80’s classic MTV generation including Beat It, the somber Man In The Mirror, Thriller, the intimate Human Nature, the deep Billy Jean, Wanna Be Starting Somethin’ which was sampled awhile ago by Rihanna on Don’t Stop The Music, and Black Or White. The collection also includes the never-before released This Is It, which was added very well by The Jackson brothers blended in smoothly in sync to a song that Michael originally made back in the period around the between Off The Wall and Thriller were made, according to my ears actually, into a simple and somber ballad. Sadly though, even though there are a lof of high notes, there honestly are a few disadvantages with the soundtrack. First of all, if you want to download the title song, This Is It, you’d have to buy the entire soundtrack as a whole, where the song is strong alone as a single song to download but that unfortunately isn’t the case. The second disadvantage is that there honestly could’ve been a few more of his classic staples including Rock With You from Off The Wall and Remember The Time.
All in all, if you a hard core Michael Jackson fan, or if you’re new to his music, than This Is It would be a great purchase for the hard core Thriller in you. While the soundtrack isn’t as diverse as Michael’s other hits collections including the 2005 Essential Michael Jackson, it is a nice trip down Memory Lane for those who’ve loved him down his classic MTV era when he was diversely proclaimed as the King Of Pop. Honestly, it is a must buy for the hard Jackson fan in anyone that says “This Was really it, that was Michael!”

I can’t believe there’s anybody bothering to buy this compilation. They intentionally prohibit the sale of the one song “This is It” by itself- the one song that people actually want and even charge $13. 99 for an MP3 album download??? Early next year this collection will be selling for 1 penny because after everybody gets the two versions of “This is It” and the few demos they will try to sell back the cd. . . . but I guess you can’t blame them because many fools are wasting their money.
Don’t get me wrong I love the song “This Is It”. I will be going to see the movie. I just can’t believe how half-baked this “soundtrack” album is.

An all demo album(with the “This is It” song) would’ve been better. Look, I love MJ, but let’s be honest here. The free world already owns these tunes! I thought multiple hits packages were bad enough when he was here, we don’t need anymore. It’s time for the Tupac treatment.
