1981 primitive Internet report on KRON
Long before anyone had heard of the Internet, early home computer users could read their morning newspapers online … sort of. Steve Newman’s 1981 story was broadcast on KRON San Francisco.

Actually, this is not primitive Internet, it is COMPU$ERVE. CI$ offered a gateway to the Internet via CIM (Compuserve Information Manager) which was crummy in the extreme. To call CI$ a primitive Internet is like calling a telegraph a primitive television.
